He said, “I moved to California many years ago to pursue acting, and I’ve only made a couple of movies in the entire time that I was there. So to be able to give my kids a better life and follow and pursue their dreams, whether it be my daughter as an equestrian, my son as a basketball player, my younger son as a golfer… This made a lot more sense for us.”

Upon arrival in Las Vegas, the family settled temporarily in a sprawling 7,327-square-foot townhouse within The Summit Club, a private and exclusive residential community featuring a Tom Fazio-designed golf course and wellness programs. Mark had purchased this home for $14.5 million in August 2022 and later sold it for $16.6 million after about a year, describing it as a “temporary place.”

He told TODAY.com, “When we decided to move [to Las Vegas], we wanted to move before school started, so we moved into a temporary place… and we now moved into another place. The plan was always to build, not only a studio but a family home. We just moved from one house to another.”

Mark emphasized that despite the city’s reputation centered on the Strip, Las Vegas offers wonderful residential communities, ideal for family life. While he admitted to “missing California,” the move was worthwhile because “my kids are thriving” in their new environment.
