Tallulah Willis is embracing the love and unity within her blended family as she shares a nostalgic throwback photo featuring her mother, Demi Moore, her father, Bruce Willis, and her stepmother, Emma Heming Willis. On March 11, the 31-year-old actress posted a photo from March 2008 on Instagram, capturing a sweet moment with her family.
In the picture, Tallulah stands between her smiling dad, 69, and her mother, 62, both grinning warmly. Demi is looking affectionately at Emma, who beams beside her husband, Bruce, at a screening of Moore’s film Flawless in New York City. Tallulah, with a caption filled with gratitude, reflected on the special bond she shares with all three of her parents.
“It’s so silly that the internet is akin to a family photo album for me,” Tallulah wrote. “Random gems can just pop up — but I love my parents, all three of them! @emmahemingwillis @demimoore.”
Emma, who has been married to Bruce since 2009, reposted the throwback to her own Instagram Stories with a simple white heart emoji, showing her appreciation for Tallulah’s gesture.
Bruce Willis shares daughters Rumer, 36, and Scout, 33, with his ex-wife Demi Moore, whom he was married to from 1987 to 2000. After his marriage to Emma, the couple welcomed daughters Mabel, 12, and Evelyn, 10, completing their close-knit family.
In March 2022, Bruce’s family publicly shared his diagnosis of aphasia, a condition that affects language and communication, along with the news of his retirement from acting. Later, in February 2023, Emma revealed that Bruce had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD). Despite the challenges, Tallulah has expressed that her father remains stable and that her family’s love for each other continues to grow.
In a 2022 appearance on Today, Tallulah opened up about her father’s health struggles, saying, “He’s stable which, in this situation, is good.” She continued, “It’s hard. There’s painful days, but there’s so much love. And it’s really shown me to not take any moment for granted, and I really do think that we’d be best friends. I think he’s very proud of me.”
Since Bruce’s diagnosis, Emma has been a vocal advocate for research into FTD and supporting caregivers who often go unrecognized. Following the deaths of Gene Hackman and his wife Betsy in February 2023, Emma shared a moving message about the importance of supporting caregivers, highlighting their vital role in the health and well-being of their loved ones.
“This is not something I would normally comment on, but I do really believe that there is some learning in this story,” Emma said in reference to the Hackmans. “Caregivers need care too and that they are vital, and that it is so important that we show up for them so that they can continue to show up for their person.”
Emma emphasized that there’s a misconception that caregivers “got it figured out” on their own. “I think that we need to be showing up for them so that they can continue to show up for their person,” she added, reinforcing her commitment to supporting her husband and others affected by FTD.
Tallulah’s heartfelt post serves as a reminder of the enduring love and connection within her family, despite the challenges they face. It also highlights the deep gratitude and admiration she has for both her parents and her stepmother, all of whom continue to stand by one another during difficult times.
