Tom Hiddleston, the beloved English actor famed for his portrayal of the mischievous Marvel character Loki, has addressed rumors about whether he’s grown weary of reprising the iconic role. As the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) gears up for the highly anticipated Avengers: Doomsday, Hiddleston confirmed he will once again don the horned helmet.

During the promotion of his latest film, The Life of Chuck, the 44-year-old star revealed that playing Loki has been a “long-time companion” in his life. Far from feeling fatigued by revisiting the character, Hiddleston said each new experience brings fresh excitement.

“It’s very exciting. I have loved playing Loki,” he shared.

In an interview with Men’s Health, Hiddleston elaborated on why Loki remains so engaging for him. “Loki’s been a companion for a long period of my adult life. Loki’s a character of such depth and range and complexity, and it never feels like the same experience,” he said. “It always feels new, and this one will be new in its own way.”

The actor, who also stars in The Night Manager, expressed gratitude for continuing to be part of the Marvel family. “I’m grateful that I’m still on the team,” he noted warmly.

Avengers: Doomsday is slated for release on December 18 and boasts an impressive ensemble cast including Robert Downey Jr., Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Alan Cumming, Florence Pugh, and many others. Fans can look forward to seeing Hiddleston’s Loki once again weave his complex and charismatic presence into the epic Marvel saga.
