Meet Teddie Allen: Tom Hardy’s MobLand Daughter with a Famous Family You’ll Definitely Recognize

MobLand boasts a stellar cast featuring heavyweight actors like Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, and Helen Mirren. Yet, alongside these established stars shines a rising talent holding her own—Teddie Allen, who plays Gina Da Souza, Tom Hardy’s on-screen daughter. But Teddie isn’t just an emerging star; she hails from a family whose name you’ll instantly recognize.
Teddie is the daughter of British actors Keith Allen and Tamzin Malleson. Keith Allen’s versatile career spans decades with roles in acclaimed films and TV series such as Trainspotting, Eddie the Eagle, Robin Hood, and The Others. Tamzin Malleson is known for her performances in popular British shows like Teachers, Midsomer Murders, Marcella, and Unforgotten. The couple met on the set of the drama Bodies and started dating in 2005, welcoming Teddie in 2006.
Teddie’s famous family extends beyond her parents: she’s the younger half-sister of singer and actress Lily Allen and actor Alfie Allen. Lily Allen burst onto the music scene with her debut album Alright, Still in 2006, featuring the hit single “Smile.” With multiple albums, Grammy and BRIT Award nominations (including a BRIT win in 2010), and a recent foray into podcasting and acting (Dreamland), Lily is a celebrated figure in music and entertainment. Alfie Allen, meanwhile, is best known for his role as Theon Greyjoy in Game of Thrones, appearing throughout all eight seasons. He’s also appeared in films like John Wick and Jojo Rabbit.
Growing up amidst fame wasn’t always easy for Teddie. She told The Sunday Times it felt “weird” when peers at junior school would ask if her parents were on TV or if Lily Allen was her sister. Fans would recognize her dad as “a legend” or “a hellraiser,” yet often she found herself behind the camera taking selfies for strangers. Over time, the puzzle pieces fell into place as she saw her dad mingling with music and comedy icons like Alex James of Blur and Jennifer Saunders.
Reflecting on her siblings, Teddie fondly recalled visits to Lily’s house where she learned to dive from Nick Grimshaw and enjoyed the family pool. However, the internet also brought challenges. “Foolishly, when I was about 11, I started Googling my family and wish I hadn’t,” she admitted, recalling negative comments about her name from strangers online.
Despite the high-profile family background, Teddie insists she’s not a “nepo baby.” “When I told my dad I was interested in acting, he said there was no way he was paying for some fancy acting college or hustling for work for his daughter,” she said. Keith Allen echoed this stance, emphasizing that neither he nor Tamzin pushed or encouraged her acting ambitions. “None of this nepotism [expletive]. If she wants to do it, she can do it herself,” he told the publication.
Teddie’s career began young, debuting at nine years old as Tatty Walker in the BBC Films remake of Swallows and Amazons, based on Arthur Ransome’s beloved novel. In addition to MobLand, she has appeared in Cider with Rosie and Four Kids and It, steadily building her own credentials.
With a famous family behind her but a clear determination to forge her own path, Teddie Allen is a rising star to watch—bringing both legacy and fresh talent to the screen.
