Kelly Clarkson’s Kids Grill Jason Momoa with Adorable Questions About ‘Aquaman’

In a delightfully charming moment from 2019, Jason Momoa, the star of Aquaman, found himself facing some of the toughest interviewers yet: Kelly Clarkson’s young children, Remington “Remy” Alexander, 3½, and River Rose, 5. The actor, who was visiting Clarkson’s daytime talk show ahead of the Aquaman sequel, quickly discovered that these pint-sized fans had plenty of pressing questions about their favorite underwater hero.
After warmly greeting River with a big hug, Momoa settled in for the informal chat. River didn’t hold back, firing off a series of candid questions that had the audience melting with “Aww”s. Her first inquiry, “Do you know The Little Mermaid?” sparked a playful response from Momoa. “Ariel? Yes, Ariel’s very sweet, she’s very nice,” he said before turning to Remy with a grin, adding, “She’s also a redhead. I’m gonna teach you about redheads someday. They’re very passionate!”
The highlight came when River asked the hilariously practical question: “Where does Aquaman go to the bathroom?” Momoa’s jovial reply, “Everywhere!” was met with giggles from River, Clarkson, and the live audience.
Remy, the shyer sibling, mostly offered a couple of high fives but stayed quiet throughout. River encouraged her brother to ask a question, reminding him of his love for Aquaman, but he was content to just “chill with Aquaman,” as Momoa humorously observed, ending their chat with another friendly high five to the youngest Clarkson.
Clarkson’s kids are clearly big fans of the DC Extended Universe, with River particularly enamored with Wonder Woman. The singer previously shared with PEOPLE in 2018 how she encourages River’s growth by asking her about bravery, kindness, and other qualities inspired by her favorite superhero. “She’s like, ‘I’m not Wonder Woman.’ I’m like, ‘You are Wonder Woman,’ because she loves Wonder Woman… and she’s like, ‘I River. But I’m like Merida, I brave.’”
Meanwhile, Remy has been described as the family’s “sensitive soul” with a knack for rowdy play. Clarkson affectionately called him the “Tasmanian Devil,” saying, “Anything that can and will be destroyed, is.”
The playful exchange with Momoa offered a heartwarming glimpse into the worlds of these young fans and their beloved superheroes, proving once again that even the mightiest heroes face the toughest questions when confronted by curious kids.
