Jason Momoa has once again proven that he is not just a superhero on screen, but also a real-life hero with a heart of gold. The Aquaman star recently surprised young cancer patient Danny Sheehan, gifting him a large Aquaman trident and other memorabilia in a heartwarming display of kindness.

The journey began when Momoa saw a video of seven-year-old Danny unwrapping a toy inspired by the hit Marvel movie. The boy, who has been battling pineoblastoma—an extremely rare and aggressive form of brain cancer since 2017—was overwhelmed with joy in the clip, prompting Momoa to reach out personally. He FaceTimed Danny, hoping to bring a moment of light into the boy’s challenging life.

In a recent post on Instagram, Jason shared the excitement of Danny’s reaction to his surprise gift. The Aquaman actor posted photos of Danny proudly holding his new treasures, including a giant Aquaman trident and a figurine of the superhero. Momoa expressed his gratitude for the community support and the generosity of those who made the gift possible, including Andy Smith of Sideshow Collectibles and Warner Bros. Pictures. “Mahalo to Everyone involved and the Sheehan family Aloha J,” Momoa wrote in the caption.

Danny’s mother, Natalie Sheehan, shared with Yahoo! Entertainment how meaningful the gesture was. She described her son’s reaction as “speechless,” while also expressing her own emotional response. “My reaction was one of sheer delight, surprise and gratitude. Danny had a rough week this week, so it was great to see him so lively and excited,” she said.

This gift was the latest chapter in the relationship between Jason and Danny. When Momoa FaceTimed Danny last month, the actor promised him not only a trident but also a future dolphin ride together. In a message shared alongside a video of their FaceTime conversation, Jason wrote: “So I just wanted to say thank you to the community, friends and family on Instagram for reaching out and showing me this beautiful boy Danny who is going through chemo and has cancer. I saw his video online that made me want to get in touch and FaceTime him and spend some time talking to him.”

Jason also shared Danny’s GoFundMe page with his followers to help support the family in their ongoing battle against the disease. In a touching moment, Momoa added, “Hey @wbpictures let’s get Danny an Aquaman Trident! Aloha J.”

For young Danny, the trident and figurine are more than just gifts; they are symbols of hope and love from an unlikely source, a superhero who is dedicated to making a difference off the screen as well as on it.
