The 10 Surprising MCU Heroes Spider-Man’s Never Met—and the Hidden Reasons Behind It

Tom Holland’s Spider-Man has swung through some of the biggest events in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, from epic Avengers battles to multiversal chaos in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Yet, for all his time in the spotlight, Peter Parker still hasn’t shared the screen—or even a proper conversation—with several major MCU heroes and antiheroes. Fans are left wondering: What’s stopping these must-see team-ups, and could they finally happen soon?

A recent Collider article (May 20, 2025) tackled this fan frustration, listing ten prominent MCU characters who, surprisingly, have yet to properly interact with Holland’s Spider-Man. Here’s a closer look at who’s missing—and why:

1. Ironheart (Riri Williams)
Introduced in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022), the tech genius and Iron Man successor hasn’t entered Spidey’s orbit. With her own Disney+ series and links to Wakanda, narrative and project separation are the main barriers—though their shared legacy with Tony Stark makes a future meeting feel inevitable.

2. Nick Fury (The Real One)
While “Nick Fury” played a big role in Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), it was actually Skrull Talos in disguise. The real Fury was busy with cosmic threats in The Marvels (2023). Espionage and cosmic adventures kept the real Fury and Peter apart, but future MCU crossovers could change that.

3. Thor Odinson
Despite both being Avengers, Thor was off-world during Spidey’s debut (Civil War) and fighting his own battles during Endgame. The MCU’s cosmic and Earth-based heroes rarely overlap—so far.

4. Black Panther (Shuri)
After T’Challa’s death, Shuri became the new Black Panther. Both she and Peter have wrestled with legacy and responsibility, but their stories haven’t intersected. Thematically, a team-up would be rich ground, but no shared projects have brought them together yet.

5. Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan)
Fans of comics and animated series know Kamala and Peter are a dream duo. But MCU film and Disney+ timelines haven’t overlapped, likely due to character focus and project rollout.

6. The Hulk (Bruce Banner)
They both fought Thanos on Titan in Infinity War, but Spidey and Hulk never exchanged words—or even a fist bump. Separate story arcs and limited screen time have kept them apart.

7. Hawkeye (Kate Bishop)
Both call New York home and share ties to Kingpin, but so far no crossover. The Hawkeye Disney+ series wrapped with no Spider-Man cameo, and Daredevil: Born Again might finally provide the opportunity fans crave.

8. The Punisher (Frank Castle)
Frank Castle is set to return in Daredevil: Born Again (2025), but despite their comic-book chemistry and New York setting, the MCU has kept its vigilantes and its friendly neighborhood hero apart—likely due to different tonal approaches and project rights.

9. Yelena Belova
Introduced in Black Widow (2021) and soon to join the Thunderbolts, Yelena and Peter have yet to cross paths. A Spider-Man/Black Widow “sibling” dynamic is rife with potential, but production and narrative tracks haven’t aligned.

10. Daredevil (Matt Murdock)
Matt Murdock did appear as Peter Parker’s lawyer in No Way Home (2021), but not as Daredevil. With Daredevil: Born Again on the horizon, fans hope a true superhero partnership is just around the corner.

What’s Really Going On?
The real reasons come down to a mix of production rights, streaming vs. theatrical priorities, and Marvel’s sprawling, interconnected timeline. As new phases unfold, crossovers remain tantalizingly possible—especially with Disney+ projects and ensemble films bringing heroes together in unexpected ways.

For now, the wait continues. But if there’s one thing Marvel loves, it’s keeping fans guessing—and setting the stage for those jaw-dropping first encounters. Will Spider-Man finally team up with these ten? Stay tuned—because in the MCU, anything can happen.
