In a major move ahead of the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, Patrick Wachsberger’s new international sales company 193 has officially boarded Die, My Love, one of the Competition’s most anticipated titles, starring Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Lynne Ramsay (You Were Never Really Here), the film also features LaKeith Stanfield, Sissy Spacek, and Nick Nolte in key roles.

Adapted from Ariana Harwicz’s haunting 2017 novel, Die, My Love paints a visceral portrait of a woman consumed by love, madness, and despair in rural America. Lawrence plays the tormented lead, with Pattinson as her husband and Stanfield as her lover. Ramsay penned the script alongside Enda Walsh and Alice Burch, promising a gripping, emotionally charged narrative that fits within her celebrated oeuvre of intense psychological dramas.

The project boasts heavyweight producers, including Lawrence herself through her Excellent Cadaver banner, legendary director Martin Scorsese, Andrea Calderwood, and Black Label Media’s Molly Smith, Trent Luckinbill, and Thad Luckinbill, who also financed the film. Domestic sales are being handled by Rick Yorn of LBI.

Die, My Love marks a major pickup for 193, the new venture Wachsberger launched earlier this year with Legendary Entertainment after his influential stints at Lionsgate and Summit. Following the company’s debut project, Peter Dinklage’s The Toxic Avenger, this Cannes entry further positions 193 as a rising force in high-profile international sales.

Ramsay, whose past Cannes success includes winning Best Screenplay for You Were Never Really Here in 2017, brings a potent combination of artistic prestige and critical anticipation to the festival lineup. Early glimpses of Die, My Love, shared by the production’s stills photographer last fall, have already sparked intrigue with their stark, arresting imagery.

With its powerhouse cast, powerhouse producers, and Ramsay’s signature vision, Die, My Love is shaping up to be one of the standout films of Cannes 2025 — and now, with 193 steering its international journey, the bidding war is set to begin.
