Spider-Man fans have been buzzing with anticipation for the fourth installment of Tom Holland’s Peter Parker saga — and now, there’s fresh news about one of the franchise’s most beloved stars: Zendaya.

According to new reports, Zendaya is indeed set to reprise her role in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. However, fans should temper their expectations — her involvement might not be as prominent as in previous films. Sources from Cosmic Circus reveal that Zendaya’s appearance will likely be more of a minor role this time around, hinting at a subtle yet meaningful presence rather than a full-fledged return to center stage.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is positioned to be a pivotal chapter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe timeline, bridging the gap between the upcoming ensemble giants Avengers: Doomsday (starring Robert Downey Jr.) and Avengers: Secret Wars. Tom Holland, who has become something of a reliable insider for Marvel fans, confirmed the project during a lively appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “Everything’s good to go. We’re nearly there. It’s super exciting. Yeah, I can’t wait,” Holland said, sending fan excitement soaring.

The film’s official title was unveiled by director Destin Daniel Cretton during CinemaCon, where he also teased that filming would begin this summer. Holland made a surprise virtual appearance during the event — a necessary move as he is currently tied up with another major project, Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey.

Holland’s schedule has been packed, working alongside a heavyweight cast that includes Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, and even Jon Bernthal — his former Marvel co-star — not to mention his real-life girlfriend, Zendaya. The Odyssey, a sweeping adaptation of ancient Greek epic literature, is slated to hit theaters on July 17, 2026, just two weeks before Spider-Man: Brand New Day lands on July 31, 2026.

While Zendaya’s role in Brand New Day might not be as expansive, her return adds a touch of familiarity to a film that promises major shifts for the Spider-Man universe. And with Marvel known for surprises, fans can bet there’s more to her appearance than meets the eye.
