The streets of crime, power, and betrayal are set to come alive in Guy Ritchie’s highly anticipated gangster drama MobLand, starring Pierce Brosnan and Tom Hardy. Set to premiere on Paramount+ on March 30, this gripping series promises to deliver everything fans expect from Ritchie’s signature blend of sharp dialogue, high-stakes action, and memorable characters.
MobLand centers around Brosnan, who plays Conrad, the head of a powerful crime family. As the patriarch of the family, Conrad’s world is one of control, influence, and danger, where loyalty is paramount, and power is always in flux. Hardy steps into the role of Harry, Conrad’s fiercely loyal fixer, a man of action who will do whatever it takes to maintain the family’s dominance. In a recently released trailer, Brosnan’s character sums up his family’s dynamics: “My wife’s the brains behind the charm. She holds me together. That makes her the most dangerous of all.”
Helen Mirren joins the star-studded cast as Conrad’s wife, a pivotal character whose intelligence and strategic thinking make her not just a partner but a driving force behind the family’s criminal empire. The trailer teases a world filled with blood, guns, and high-octane tension, as Brosnan’s character growls, “Power is a hungry thing, and there’s always a rat bastard looking to take what’s mine.” It’s clear from the trailer that MobLand will be a rollercoaster of emotions, raw action, and deadly consequences.
Rounding out the impressive ensemble are Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Lara Pulver, Anson Boon, and Mandeep Dhillon, each bringing their own brand of intrigue and complexity to the story. Considine plays Kevin Harrigan, Conrad’s son, while Froggatt portrays Jan Da Souza, Harry’s wife. Pulver takes on the role of Bella Harrigan, Kevin’s wife, and Boon will play Eddie Harrigan, Kevin’s rebellious son. The tension within the family promises to add an extra layer of drama to the already dangerous world of organized crime.
Initially conceived as a British spinoff of the popular Ray Donovan series, MobLand has since been reworked into a standalone drama. Now, with its own identity and a fresh perspective, it’s set to captivate audiences worldwide. The series, which is produced in association with MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios, will first launch in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., and Australia before rolling out globally later in 2025.
Executive produced by a team of industry veterans—including Ritchie himself, alongside Keith Cox, Nina L. Diaz, and others—MobLand promises to be a standout show in the gangster genre. With its powerhouse cast, intense storytelling, and the trademark flair of Guy Ritchie, this series is shaping up to be a must-watch.
MobLand premieres on Paramount+ on March 30, so mark your calendars and prepare for a thrilling journey into the heart of crime.
