The sprawling canyon property, which includes parts of the lot that Willis called home for nearly three decades, is now available as part of a much larger, eight-parcel real estate offering that straddles both the Westside and the Valley.

Willis, best known for his roles in Die Hard and Pulp Fiction, purchased part of the property in 1987 and held onto it until he sold his share in 2016. At the time, a trust under his name sold three parcels of the land, which was then combined with two other trusts that owned the remaining five. The expansive lot is currently being offered by Hollywood Ridge Holdings, which acquired it from Grimm Investments, an LLC that took over the property in 2021 after the previous owner transferred it to them rather than foreclosing. Records show Grimm Investments covered the $6.4 million debt attached to the land.

Described by the listing as “a blank canvas for the next owner to reimagine,” the land includes tiered terraces, paved roads leading to lower parcels, and large retaining walls, making it ideal for a residential redesign. According to Sotheby’s listing agents, Alan Roth and Lissa Lebel, the property could be transformed into a luxurious mansion or even a collection of bespoke homes.

At the heart of the property sits a 3,000-square-foot ranch-style home built in 1953. The house, situated on a tree-shaded plateau, offers the potential for renovation or demolition, with renderings included in the listing showcasing what a new mansion could look like on the site. “What’s special about this sale is the acreage,” said a spokesperson from Sotheby’s. “It’s a rare offering of land in such a desirable area, and there is a lot of potential for someone with a vision.”

Willis has been selling off much of his portfolio in recent years, following his retirement in 2022 after being diagnosed with aphasia, a condition that impairs speech and language, followed by a dementia diagnosis a year later.

Willis, one of Hollywood’s highest-grossing actors, has significantly reduced his real estate holdings over the past seven years, including the sale of his $27 million compound in Turks and Caicos and his Manhattan duplex overlooking Central Park, which fetched $18 million. Despite these sales, Willis’s legacy as one of the most influential action stars in film history remains intact, with fans continuing to celebrate his iconic roles in action and drama.

The Beverly Hills Post Office property now represents a significant opportunity for a buyer to acquire a piece of Hollywood history while unlocking the potential for development in one of the city’s most prestigious areas.
