When it comes to cooking for his girlfriend Zendaya, Tom Holland might be Spider-Man, but he’s still learning the ropes in the kitchen. The 28-year-old actor recently opened up about his culinary experiments on the Dish podcast, revealing that he’s been taking on the responsibility of making dinner while Zendaya has been busy filming. But despite his best efforts, not every meal has been a hit.

“I really enjoy cooking,” Holland confessed during the episode, “And I would say, I am a fine cook.” The British actor, who’s taken a particular interest in vegetarian cooking to cater to Zendaya’s diet, admitted that his time in the kitchen hasn’t always yielded the best results. “I’ve been doing a lot of the dinners. And um, they haven’t been great. There’s been a few like, ‘Let’s just order-ins,’” he shared with a laugh, making it clear that not every dish was a masterpiece.

Holland, who’s been in Boston while Zendaya works on a project, also shared some of the lighter moments of their time together. He documented a fun outing on his Instagram Stories, where he and Zendaya visited a bar to try Bero, a non-alcoholic beer created by the actor behind The Impossible. The couple’s easygoing vibe and support for each other shone through in their candid moments.

Despite his kitchen mishaps, Holland made sure to praise Zendaya’s own cooking skills. “I actually love Zendaya’s spicy vodka fusilli thingamajiggy that she does,” he said, calling it “delicious” and giving her culinary prowess a well-deserved compliment.

On top of their shared love of food, the couple’s professional lives are also intertwined. Holland expressed his excitement about working with Zendaya again in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film, which will feature a star-studded cast including Anne Hathaway, Matt Damon, and Robert Pattinson. The actor joked about the practical side of their on-set arrangements, saying, “Studios love it — one hotel room! We’re not crazy. It’s work, alright?” Still, he couldn’t hide his affection, calling working alongside Zendaya a “saving grace” and the “best thing that’s ever happened to me.”

While Tom Holland may not be winning any culinary awards just yet, his efforts to cook for Zendaya—and the loving support they share both on and off-screen—make it clear that this couple has an undeniable bond.
